Class work: October 1, 2009

}Do Now! Have Journal homework ready for review.
}Remember: Tomorrow is your vocab test. It will include words from 1-80. Review and study.
} Read Why I Wrote The Crucible Page 3  in Elements Supplement (available in class only). Write fifteen lines in your notebook using Arthur Miller’s essay title as your heading. Make sure your writing includes an answer to Why the author wrote The Crucible. Several question will be added to the vocab test and will be taken from today’s reading.
}Objective: Students will be able to evaluate the philosophical, political, religious, ethical, and social influences of two  historical periods. Also students will understand how to analyze characters and the author’s use of direct and indirect characterization.
